Having the Sub-Bass to play another melody than the Mid-Bass (Future House)

Lately I've been trying to produce some Future House and the thing that i stumbled upon the most was a seperate Bassline in the Sub-Bass than in the Mid-Bass (In the drops). So I tried to do that myself but for some reason I'm failing all the time. I am always using the same scale as the Mid-Bass and try to keep the rythm right but it still doesn't sound good at all.
If you don't know what I'm talking about here are some examples:

Just using the scale won't guarantee that it sounds good.

At any point in the music, most of the notes you are playing should form a chord. You can use other notes (from the scale or not) 'in passing' between the chord notes, but mostly stick to notes from the chords.

Beginners also usually find it easier if you stick to the scale as well.
So when the key is A minor and one bass is playing an F, the other one should play an A or a C (to make 2/3rds of an F major chord) or a D or an A (to make 2/3rds of a D minor chord). If you decide to not stay with the scale you could use other non-scale notes as well, as long as they make chords.
