yo. been lurking around for a while. decided to sign up
i really want to learn more theory.
specifically - harmony.
all of these "phat" chords, not only 9, 11, 13, but #5, b5 etc. I love how they sound.
in gospel dvds they mostly show you the technique. they use "tritones" to make these in a simpler way, but dont explain HOW they work.
if i want to harmonize, say, a melody. can I just pick any cluster of notes that contain the melody as the top one?
this seems to be whats going on here:
id love any insight!
