hardware vs. software!!!

why do they sound so diff. its very aggravating especially coming from hardware and moving to software. I could make a beat on my old motif an barely do any mixing and things would sounds terrific- drums and all. Why cant i get that sound out of logic- no matter what i seem to do. things just sound thin and cheap. I swear every drum hit in logic seems to have this strange little click/pop attached to it. Nothing hits the way its suppose to and the daws quantizations seems so restricting. PLEASE HELP WITH ANY ADVICE. especially with the drums that seem layed with a click/pop that makes mixing trouble

Being a hardware guy myself, I tried playing around with the Kotakt free demo, and compared to my hardware, I didn't feel that the presets were as ready to go. I am not saying that the instruments couldn't sound better than my hardware, but right out the box, it was easier on hardware to get inspired.
