Finding the right key

I find it really difficult to find what key my track is. I just used a software what tells a key and it said that my track is in c-minor. When I look keys what c-minor holds, I can see that there is no G# key on it which is my root bass note. My bassline consist in 3 keys which are C, A# and G#. I regret that I did not learn music when I was young instead I played hockey.

If you are in C minor , you are playing the sixth and the seventh of the key :) , but you could also be in G# major , instead you will be playing the root , the second and the third note of the key ! you could also be in A# minor... but you will be playing other degrees of the scale...

It's very hard to hear whether the bass plays in key or not. Try putting your bass 3-4 octaves higher and then i'm sure you'll hear it. But even when it's not in a key and sounds good you don't have to worry.
Have a nice day!
