Falling bass?

Set your pitch wheel setting to 12. Usually the pitch wheel setting on presets is standard at 2, meaning the number of notes it will bend up or down. So, at 2 you don't get a long slide like you want, but more of a hammer-on/off effect. At 12 it allows you to slide up/down a whole octave of 12 notes giving you a slide that lasts longer. You can do it from any note. On bass, start an octave higher than where you normally play at. Press/hold the key you want, and gradually bend the pitch wheel down to the bottom. That will give you the down slide effect. Do it in reverse for an up slide. It takes some technique and skill to get a good one going, but just play around with it enough and you'll get what your looking for. Once you get good at it, try not to over-use it. Less is more with bass effects like slides, hammer-ons, and fills.

I hear nothing in the bass that can't simply be played by touching the right key. Are you talking about the flute, or possibly another beat than the 1st 1?
