I am trying to achieve an electro bassline for driving tech-house electro music, but having alot of trouble. Here is a sample of what I am after. I think there is 2 layers with differnet octaves. There also seems to be a sidechain put in place for a pumping effect and filtering (which I can do).
I only have a few VSTi (Battery, V-Station, and Vanguard) on Cubase SX3, but they have been pretty helpful til now. I am not sure create this type of driving bassline. I have either made it too weak/thin or too dirty or distorted. Any pointers or tips would be great.
