Hi,

Have you tried to make Dance music that sounds like early 90's Eurodance...

BUT you ended up with a shitty EDM-Like crap?

I will tell you what you missed...

You Missed: The Minor-Based Melody-Driven Super Pad

It's the backbone of any 90's Eurodance sounding song.

The Minor-Based Melody-Driven Super Pad is completely abandoned these days and that's why all modern day songs sound either silly Major-Based (Pop...) or just Soulless (EDM, Dubstep...)

The Super Pad is the Soul of music, it controls the mood of the song, any song without a Super Pad is just a dead corpse.

The Minor-Based Melody-Driven Super Pad must contain at least:

- Chorded Pad (Heavy Chorus+Reverb)
- Octaved Fat Strings (Heavy Chorus+Reverb)
- Chorded Choir (Heavy Chorus+Reverb)
- Distant/Nighty Noise (Heavy Reverb+Delay)
- Chorded Angelic Whistling (Heavy Reverb+Delay)

Mixed together they will result in a Serious Happy sound that will Fully Occupy the Spectrum.

- Seriousness is mainly located at Bass and Medium Range.

- Happiness is mainly located at Treble Range (What I call the "Sunshine String").

Because the Minor-Based Melody-Driven Super Pad will Fully Occupy the Sound Spectrum, it will help you to select the right other instruments and it will help you in notation and fine tuning.

Simply, it will be a "Perfect-Or-Reject" filter.

This Example was made using FL Studio 10:
