Drum hit "preslide"

There's been a question on my mind for a while, thought I'd get round to asking someone.

Sometimes when I'm listening to electronic music like electrohouse or neurofunk or just any random track tbh I hear that the producer has put in a sort of airy slide just before a snare for example.

It sort of sounds like thhh-wack where the thhh is the noise I wanna make and the wack is the snare. I love this effect it gives drums so much more energy and power, and I was wondering if anyone could help me make this noise or has an effective method to doing it. Is it something simple like reverse reverb?

Any thoughts are appreciated! I can find examples if you don't get what I mean.

If it's the sound I'm thinking of, then it's actually quite simple. All you do is take a copy of the original drum hit, reverse it, then play it before the non-reversed hit. From there, timestretch and put effects on it to taste.
