Do you use sidechain compression for trap?

Hey guys, I was just wondering if trap producers also use sidechain compression?

I have startet to sidechain my 808 to the kick when making trap beats and i like the result of it.

If it needs it... I do not implement something unless it needs it, thats like just putting a compressor on something just because you can.

Taking into consideration that I don't produce trap, but I know that the kick used in trap music is very "bassy", I think the best option is to use sidechain with the kick and sub, so they don't clash on the lower end of the frequency spectrum. I'd also see if it's necessary to use it between the kick and bass, and snare/bass/pads/leads. sidechain can be used for both cleaning up the mix and for creative reasons as well.
