Do you ever push youre computer cpu to the limit

I've got a pretty fast computer and was just testing out the limit on how much it can take. Set the sample rate to 96 used a couple instances of izotope ozone with some guitar rig effect on the drums. Just Maxing out with hungry plugins up until the song glitches. Is this a stupid idea? I think it's crazy on what you can do now days. I remember my old hp back in early 00 when NI massive, fm8, and absynth came out I was having a lot of latency problems using them. Had to bounce midi to audio constantly.

Don't worry to much about it!
I have a killer Macbook Pro and I worked on some pretty powerful mac and PC's and if your project is full of good stuff it will start to glitch!
My Ableton CPU meter sometimes shows 543% (WTF?) but all this processing that is going on while you are creating a track is heavy! Sometimes you bounce some of your midi to audio, in Ableton you can Freeze your tracks(Witch is actually the same).
Keep on working brother!
