DIlla Type Bass From Hair Clippers? WTF?

Not necessarily "bass from hair clippers" but I do often make pads and whatnot from short cycles of random samples.

Why not use a sawtooth? or other waveforms?
Altho I do see that as useful for more complex sounds that go beyond what most waveform generators can do without programming your own.

Nice, I use to experiment a lot with wind noise for pads and chords.
