Didn't Know Where to Post This..

so as mentioned by the title, i didnt know where to post this question but the thing said it was "Theory, Composing...." so I said ok this sounds good. So my question is:

Can anyone tell me (or give me a website that tells me) what the Circle of Fifths is?

I started to learn music theory like a week ago and I'm stuck on this. I tried to just keep reading but that didnt work b/c it didnt make any sense. All i know is that it involves a circle and ...yeah..
So hopefully some one can help me?

so is it used for finding a chord (...or something?) by using a pattern that is called that way b/c theres 5 semitones in between each note in the pattern? is that right?
hope it is..

I dont know much about theory. Its like a pattern used to find key signatures. Heres an easier read.
