create a dark sound

I am afraid I do not understand the question

do you mean

How do I make a dark sounding track from a musical point of view?

or do you mean

How do I make a dark track from a sonic (mix) point of view?

these are very much different questions and have very different answers

Minor scale, triangle waves, distortion, airy reverbs, hall echoes, grimey wobbles. Dark is too broad, but as long as you play in a happy scale it will be very difficult to achieve

Any tracks with the similar style that you want to achieve, that you may show us (don't forget the timing where the sound is most present)?

its all about setting a mood a slow driving piano melody that has that antique feel to it and reverb you want the listener to feel alone. i made this one and it sounds pretty dark.

These are standard hiphop beats. Mostly a looped sample that they got from a movie soundtrack or the like. Some basic drums and bassnotes..
Making this kind of beat is more about finding the right sample and putting it together than doing any production on it.

So, start watching movies I guess...
And try to find out where producers you like get their samples from.

Spatialisation is also important. Don't hesitate to spacialise loudly the elements in your mix. It will bring more mystery and darkness to it.

I always hesitate to spatialize anything in my mix, even keep things mono where I can. Excessive reverb and other spatial tricks will ruin your mix once you start stacking a few sounds together.

You right, it's hard to do it well. But if you check the last drake mixtape for example, I realised that the elements are very spatialised and of course in a perfect way. And I think that it helps a lot to have this darkness and special atmosphere.

use synths in a low octave, have long notes and try make the track sound slower than its tempo, distortion and long pingpong delays can help too
