If you haev unlimited money (!) why dont you get a kickass hardware sampler, a kickass hardware synthesizer (Supernova II rack X), a kickass computer, a kickass digital mixer, a kickass ADAT soundcard, and a kickass sequencer (cubase VST 5 or Logic)?

or maybe you meant you have limited money? :)

if you dont have much money:
Try Reason. it is just fine to compose whatever you want. it's 299 dollars and it is worth every penny. it has everything built in. and it's software

"Does anyone know how to compose a melody??"
Geforce, can you be more specific about what you mean?

Do you mean you want a program to create synthesized melodies? (i.e. a soft synth)
Do you want to record melodies from a keyboard? (i.e. using MIDI)
Or do you want to record vocal melodies? (i.e. using a sequencer / wave editor)

I wish I had "unlimited money to spend" :)
Take it easy

I want to create a melody using a program/softy synth. Any suggestions?
Write back,
Thanks,

The actual composing of the melody is somethin' you can't learn %100. You need some talent, but you can learn a lot by listening much and analytic to existing music of many styles! Don't stick to one style.
