i'm trying to learn new methods of makin music... so i thought id listen to a few dre beats and try to decipher them...

wtf is this man on?

how the HELL did he get the pianos on gunz come out and that lil background horn thing... that **** is funky as hell.

( same can be applied to outa control )

i know yall go say i need to make my own sound but... i'm workin on learnin the basics and i feel thats a good start.

if your only learning then dr. dre is not the sound you want to try to replicate. remember that he is one of the best producers ever and trying to replicate his sound when you really dont know much about music production will only turn you off wanting to make music, tryin to do what he does will be a complete head fcuk for you

next to that he uses equipment you never can pay yourself, so you will not reach that sonic quality, except when you go to a very expensive pro studio with an ssl 9000 mixer and so on.

he also works with a lot of musicians who play parts for his productions, not only workstations like a lot think.
