Classical Type Arpeggios for HipHop?

I just played some classical type arpeggios. I have been doing that trick with the drum pad controller, basically coming up with ideas on the drum pad controller and then playing it with the keys.

I would appreciate it if you could post some examples of classical type arpeggios which may work out "cool" (or "gangsta") when using it for hiphop.

a broken chord is a broken chord regardless of genre

the only way to know if something will or won't work is to try it for yourself - i.e. it comes back to personal taste more than anything else as to whether something "works" for you....

What do you mean you play them on a pad controller? Do you mean you tune your pad controller to a certain scale, so no matter what pad you hit , it'll be in the scale?
That is an easy way, but that prevents you from automatically learning what notes are in a scale. Only by ear will you then learn what fits the scale and takes longer if you not link it to notes in your head.
For arpeggios I usually add an arpeggiator like the RPG8 in Reason and then hit chords. You probably have vsts that do the same. Together with the alligator you can cheat your way through not being able to properly play keyboard :P

To clarify the question a bit more. When I try to play arpeggios with Hiphop in mind to myself it would sound Pop/Ballad/R&B, though not right Hiphop and when it would sound closer to Hiphop then it would sound a bit like Eminem's sound. So I was looking to ask for a particular way of doing arpeggios with the piano which may get me started when it comes to doing those on hiphop tracks.

Just throw on a 4 bar drum loop and experiment playing different arpeggio sequences over it until you find a pattern you like. Not. That. Hard.

even simpler than pumpthrusts suggestion

you need to play with the groove of the arpeggios if you are playing them in straight. that or play them with a bit of hip hop swing to them

then consider the note sequence (108 viable note sequences in a 4 note arpeggio)
