Chord Help! (funk track)

I'm trying to work out the chords of this song for a live performance but I just can't get it. I would be so grateful if someone could help me out haha, I've got the bass pretty much done but i'm struggling hearing the chords being played by the keys! The song is here -

so what bass notes do you have for this track? they should be a signal towards what chords are active, so giving us the info you have already makes the task easier
 
so first take on it is mainly follows E-F#m7-G#m7-F#m7 and repeats

occasionally the second F#m7 becomes an Amaj7

reminds me of the theme to a local kids program Playschool
