Choosing A Distotion Software?

Is there any "best" or most-used software for distortion of bass?

I know that many drum kits have already distorted bassdrums in them, but they sound weaker when processe in Fl Studio, so I want to distort bassdrums myself.

Check out "variety of sound", they have a lot of freeware saturation plugins, including one of my favourite distortion plugins (TesslaSE).

KvR's search produces almost 200 results with the tags "distortion/overdrive/amp" & "free" applied, so yes, there certainly are some...

There are also plenty of (free) guitar amp simulators (also in the aforementioned category) that can work just as well for this - wouldn't dismiss them just because they're "for guitars".
