Can Sonar 4 generate MIDI from audio?

Hi,

There are a few programs about that sample audio and produce MIDI files from it, most monophonic. I was wondering if this is possible in Sonar 4, and if not a native feature are there any plugins that would do it?

I don't play keyboards, only guitar, and strangley theres no MIDI socket on it...

Read The Manual: RTFM. no sorry i dont know the answer to youe question but u can try soundfonts. search at googles. soundfonts are sampled instruments ro sound put into midi.

Well I don't have the manual, and I won't have until I know if this is the app for me.

I'm not after sounds from MIDI, but MIDI from sounds, ie to play a guitar track and have the application notate it for me so I can play a MIDI instrument from the data.
