everyone should know that BFD is on sale! which is fantastic and, no matter what people say in response to this post, i will probably snag it up - lets be honest, its a steal at $29!
still...what im wondering about is if i should attempt using vengeance packs or if i should start processing my own stuff. BFD sounds amazing and the sets have incredibly rich tones! i feel like i could make my own kits (possibly even more appropriate sounds) easily with some basic drum processing - synth-layering and compression, mainly.
i personally do not enjoy the native sound of vengeance's over compressed samples but maybe if i dedicate the amount of energy i would be otherwise putting in processing dry drum kits sounds i could make them sound decent.
so lets hear it! what do you guys think?
