Best orchestral synths?

I need to compose some orchestral pieces and make recordings of my compositions...

Unfortunately, I don't have an orchestra handy lol. What's the best way to emulate the sound of an orchestra?

For anybody wondering...

Best I've found so far.

Edirol Orchestra is good for RnB/Hip Hop/Pop/Rock where strings will be covered by other instruments. But it's very obvious the sound isn't realistic when doing full orchestra peoces. Before buying the HQOrchestra, you may want to check out IK Miroslav, Eastwest Symphonic, or Gigastudio. The give you a more realistic orchestral sound.

You should really check out the Vienna Library Special Edition. Unlike other sample libraries, this one contains "legato" patches, so you can simulate say, a violin player playing multiple notes with one bow movement. Essential for realistic parts.
