Ok i got a mpc I'm trackin to protools. I know bout eqing but whats done to make your track finished. Like after u lay the beat out the way u want and u eq'ed everything what else is done past the delays and reverb stuff. And does anyone have a link 2 a video were they show the full process of finishing a beat in protools.

There's no magic "finishing process". It's finished when it sounds like you wanted it to sound.

you dont want to confuse mixing and mastering. try to mix only the indavidual tracks and not the master track. if done right you then send it off to get mastered.

if you post an example we can tell you what can be fixed.
the only time i would recomend you put an effect on the master track is when your recording for people who are paying and want the tracks at a good volume to take home and listen to. learning how to use a limiter would be nice for that. just remember to tell them this is not a final product and is only to listen to(dont use this to master).

and if you didnt know, the final volume before mastering should peak at a max of -6dbfs.
