Bassline Thumps, Redrum, and 808's

whats good, im trying to make basslines that will thump in my trunk like they do on my subs in the studio the problem is I havent figured out the right device or compression and effects combination to get this done in Reason. I dont know whether to use the Redrum with my 808 samples or the thor 808 patch. Does anybody have any ideas or tips that will lead me in the right direction. When I say thump I mean shawty redd, gucci mane type bass.

usually i use the redrum and create a compressor...usually put the threshold to about -16 and ratio to 2:1. You gotta play wit the attack and realese. Also on the redrum play with the length. The more the knob is to the right the longer it is. Also route the drum to its on channel in the mixer.You can hear some of my mixes and drums.
