Bassline being dissonant?

After a long debate between my partner about the dissonance between a bassline and a sample used on a song we decided to bring the matter to fp! xD My partner disagrees, stating the bassline is dissonant at certain notes and sound off while i do not perceive it.

lend me an ear here, fp, what are your thoughts? Are those notes off...?

try to seperate the sounds a little bit more with EQ or something. I dont think it sounds off but it needs to be cleaned up a bit.

i think it sounds nice man.. a little too much hi's in the overall mix, but other than that I like the bass, you should just bring it out a little more

Make sure you produce with a metronome because sometimes your ears lie to you, the track is on beat. For the dissonance you can't really tell, but I think its the chord on the 1st beat and 3rd beat of the measures if you understand what I am saying.

Definitely EQ a little to gel it together.
But sometimes Bass is too low in terms of the octave you're playing, so it can be muddy/unclear, unless you want some sub sounds.
