Sup FP. This is a question that's been bugging me a long time. Can't post links, but Army of the Pharaohs - Strike Back, the chorus has a repeating 'there ain't an army that could strike back', with the last repetition being incomplete and ending with a rather loverly spacey vocalized 'AR-MY' (ie, at :27 and 1:53 of the babygranderecords vid on YT).
So the question would be, how is that effect done? Is it just 'ar-my' fed through vocoder + FX to make it twinkle? And would that have been done with an actual sample just tweaked, or a freshly recorded insert?
