Any tips for writing melodies?

Hello Guys,
I suffer when i write melodies, it is the part that i hate most in production. I learned some theory, I am now able to create amazing chords, just the melodies that i struggle with, what are your tips? what do you suggest i do?
I produce Trance (EDM)

learn play piano if you can't play - also dun need to be pianist.
then improvise till when good melody comes to you. :)
 
Do research. Listen to all sorts of melodies, from different genres. Break them down and take in the structure, notes and energy involved. Really analyze other melodies and practice your theory.
