808 Sound Rings In Logic Pro X

dumb question but in logic p x. my 808 rings into my verse.(etc) There a way I can cut it? So for example if I hit 4 quarter notes, the last last quarter note would ring into the next measure. How do I make Just that last 808 hit cut? its unpleasant. thanks

Are you using a sample or synth? If synth I would play with the Adsr. If sample or synth you can try throwing a noise gate on it to cut some of the tail off.
