808 out of tune/pitch?

ive been told the 808 sounds off, i dont know how to further get the 808 in key or in tune, im on fl studio and ive already tuned it by going into edison and detecting pitch regions.

It's playing the wrong notes. Are the arp and 808 in the sane key?

i set the root note for the 808 as D#5 and the arp is just playing f6 f6 a6 e6 over and over, i havnt tuned the arp because thats how i want it to sound.

So that's why it sounds wrong: your root note is out of key with the rest of the arp. Can't you hear it sounds just like the wrong notes?

It's quite hard to decide on a key with those three notes but I think it's probably F major/D minor so try setting your root to F or D.

Can't you tell yourself if it sounds correct or not?

It doesn't sound right at all to me, I think D might be better but the important thing here is that you know what it sounds like yourself. Maybe yoiu're listening to it too often and giving yourself ear fatigue
