The first synths you hear in this beat(not the piano), Does anybody know how to make them and can point me in the right direction? I have massive. I know there is alot of reverb on them to make them ambient, but what more?

And on 0:50 in the song a melody comes in, Is this a Arp? or does the producers play the melody? i know you can do both but typically, how does the producers make them?

And if someone know what scale this is played in and what chord progression is used i would be very happy :)

from 0:50 it could be played or arped, no matter because it is easy to play and easy to make arp
 
the 'synth' under the piano's is a Pad, with a lot of Lows & Mids with reverb, Nexus & Omnisphere have some great pads & the Melody that kicks in is definitely an Arp in this song, if you can get a hold of Sylenth1, you'll find what you're looking for in there
