    Room design for mixing

    Hi
I want to say that at first - I read a lot of threads connected with acoustic treatment, if not every. My room is far from perfect because of doors and window, so I'm just not sure how to do everything. That's why i need your help!

    It looks like that:

as you can see, I'm not the master of SketchUp
Which place in your opinion would be the best to locate desk and monitors? I want to do the whole acoustic treatment.
This is how it looks now, and obviously it's wrong. Finally i can arrange everything from scratch, so I would make It possibly good sounding. I'll take care of how to locate the whole gear and furniture later I'm just not sure about the monitors. Room size is 13x15 feet, so I'm afraid monitors will have to be near the wall, i can't put them in 38% length, cause i still have to live there

Thanks in advance for ANY help!

    well next set of questions
How much you willing to spend?
    Is this room dedicated?
Are you good work with your hands?

Well, I drew only a desk in this "professional" project. It's not 100% dedicated for music, It's basically my room so I need there a bed at least but while "regular" people think about cool furniture at first, I want to take care of my place to work. I'll have it furnished, so I believe there won't be any reverb from the beginning. I gotta say that i don't have loads of $ for everything, but I'll be happy with anything better than monitors in the corner, It includes DIY. I have the biggest problem with placing everything.

Your ears are your best guide. You should try multiple setups before committing to one. Then approve upon that. I don't know where you live but if you live with others or near others such as an apartment i would recommend you getting an acoustic treated door for your room to stop loud sounds from bothering others. Then apply sound dampening material to reduce the reflection of sound waves coming back to your ears. So treat the wall that runs parallel to your monitors. I hope this is a start.
