Is this a possible setup ?

~Just to paint a better picture, this is just an entry level setup for my room.

I wanted to know, is it possible to run this setup through my Macbook Pro 2008 ? I thought about getting a USB adapter that has five Usb Ports, and using nothing but all usb equipment....Akai Mpd controller, Midi-Keyboard & Usb turntable for sampling. Can I run this type of setup ? Or do I have to get an audio interface ? I do not use pro tools, just Ableton Live.

Also, I thought about using my 25inch HdTv as my monitor by connecting it to my Mac via HDMI cables. I also have a decent surround sound system with receiver so I am capable of using the surround sound for radio,ipod,ps3,hdmi etc. Therefore I really do not need speakers.

Is this a possible bed room setup ?

~Once again this is just an idea I thought about. Can any of yall provide me with some info? This is just for beatmaking only.
    Peace.

what do you mean by possible? as in can you make good quality music or can I even do this. The answers yes for both. The only limit is creativity. So ye you can run that through a macbook pro you dont need a interface to use a usb turntable although if you have a good interface it usually increases the sound quility by alot over the built in card inside the macbook.

If you wondering what to buy for all this I would highly suggest a akai 49 axiom 49 or novation slmkII 49 all three great midi controllers as for the usb turntable I would suggest a santon there cheap and effective.

~Thanks for the info. I already have an Akai MPD26 as pads and I plan on getting the M-audio Keyboard with 61 keys....($175). BTW I was looking at the stanton usb Turntable at around $125....I might go with that. But thanks for providing me with the information. Much appreciated. I just had to know if I can connect 3-USB worth of equipment to my mac, before I blow money on a non possible setup.
