Where can I buy a new MPC 3000 from?
You might as well get an MPC 2000xl it has wave form editing, now you can make your samples so tight it will be ridiculous. See with the 3000 you can't see your sample you have to go by ear, so when you go by ear there is always a little section of the front part of a sample that could have been tight if it had wave editing. Plus the MPC 2000xl is much more cheaping, just buy your eight out puts and you are straight. check below the site

I believe that an mpc 3000 is probably the best of all three of the mpc's I own all 3. (60, 2000xl and 3000 but not the 4000) I beleieve that the 3000 has the best sequencer swing to it. the drums seem a little bit punchier. The interface and software for the 60 and 3000 were designed by a musician (ROGER LINN) for musicians not some japanese engineer in a white lab coat!!. Much more user friendly! The 60 and 3000 also have four midi outputs as opposed to the 2000's two outputs which is priceless. A 60 or 3000 also come with the 8 output expanders and smpte cards allready installed. The 60 and 3000 have better parts, better circuitry and better cunstruction. If you take the street price of a 2000xl, add eight output expander, smpte board, and all the other stuff that a 3000 come with allready installed and setup, you are aproaching over $2000 dollars. This money could easily get you a mint used 3000 that will last you much longer before the 2000'S lcd screen goes out and the buttons start screwing up on you.
As for wave form editing, it is nice to have, but sound should be listened to to decide whether it needs to be edited, not viewed on a 2 inch lcd screen that doesn't even give you acurate Zero Crossings of a waveform when editing. If you hear a click or something in your loop, just edit it by ear till the click is gone, don't spent half an hour screwing around with sub-menu's trying to SEE the problem..YOU ALLREADY HEARD THE PROBLEM. TRUST YOUR EARS DAMNIT!!!!! TRUST YOUR EARS!!!! after all, your audience is not busting out 2.4 jiggawatt flux capacitors and frequency spectrum analizers to see wheter you edited that drum loop on point. ANY DECENT ear can hear something that is not right. IN THE END, JUST BUY WHAT IS MOST AFFORDABLE TO YOU. MPC60, 3000, 2000, 2000XL, OR WHATEVER. THEY ARE ALL INCREDIBLE PIECES OF EQUIPMENT. JUST DONT LET THE TECHNOLOGY TELL YOU WHAT YOUR EARS ALLREADY HAVE BEEN, YOU WILL WASTE AN ENORMOUS AMOUNT OF TIME AND EFFORT. THE MPC 3000 IS THE CHOICE SEQUENCER OF DR DRE, RAFAEL SAADIQ, ERIK SERMON, DJ SHADOW, DE LA SOUL, BT, ORGANIZED NOISE(OUTKAST), ATMOSPHERE, JUNGLE BROTHERS, BOOGIE DOWN PRODUCTIONS, HYROGLYPHICS, MAD JEFF, PRINCE PAUL, PETE ROCK, TIMBALAND, AND DAN THE AUTOMATOR.
THE 2000 DOES NOT SUCK IT IS A NICE PIECE OF EQUIPMENT BUT 3000 IS BETTER!
Just so that everybody knows the history of the mpc series:
