mic stands and vocal isolators

I'm trying to buy a scissor arm suspension mic stand for my "home studio." I also saw vocal isolators (auralex mudguard or soundkitz ae-f) that i want to use with my mic since I don't the space to set up a booth/room with acoustic padding. The vocal isolators seem to fit perfectly with regular mic stands and boom arm stands, but I'm not sure about the suspension scissor arm stand. Anyone have experience with this?

That mudguard is a pretty good isolator, with a condensor mix, izotope rx and nectar you can record some great quality vocals. Your scissor arm stand will work in correlation to this just make sure your mic isn't too far away from the isolator or it will render it useless.
