    me, I've moved 30+ times in my life so far (Navy brat and then just chasing work and an education). Tenancy law is different everywhere, some more stringent than others, some less so. Ultimately, the landlord decides what you can and can't do with the property including the walls, so learn something if nothing else from this discussion.

    @OP: I've offered you what I can to solve your problem, but it is difficult to do what you want without hanging some stuff from the ceiling or overhead cross supports

    My advice to you would be to move out. If he doesnt want you putting holes in the wall i can imagine what he's gonna say when you start cranking that music to do your mastering and mixing. Really man there is no way to put up the foam without putting some kind of adhesive or nails or something. Your asking for something that just isnt possible to do. The only thing that "might" work is sticky tack. Google it. I dont know if the foam would stick to it though.
