    Word up

    Hey bro,

Route your Mixing Desk into your PC's Soundcard via the Mixers "Stereo Out" AUX jacks then plug your other gear directly into your Mixer when need be.

For my home studio, I use a Hercules Fortissimo III 7.1 Soundcard, it's cheap and only 18bit but it works just fine with Cubase and my other audio applications with very low latency.

Check out this awesome website for additional info, it helped me a great deal:

    http://www.tweakheadz.com/

Theres a very indepth Home Recording guide there which will take you through the process of setting up your gear in a very straight forward way.

I have a very minimal set up here and take advantage of my PC for everything else. I've just rigged up a Yamaha MT400 4-track with built in Mixer into my Hercules Fortissimo Soundcard and compose music using my Guitar and MIDI enabled keyboard through Cubase SX. I engineered and mastered my bands CD through Cubase SX just through using the superior audio applications contained within it!

Good luck bro I hope this helps, if ya need any more advice just mail me until then,

    Rock on!
