Who can give me some good techniques for bass traps? Ones that really work. I've been putting it off for ages, but my room really needs it.
what is base trap
u def want to face the front as well as the rear .. when i did mine i ddnt do a facing on thfront and when u pull the fabric tight it rounded the edges of the mineral wool not to the point where it was terrible but noticable ...i probably will be refacing mine probly next year right now not that big of a deal
See Recording Drums and click on low frequencies
Yeah, I built 4 last month. Mineral Wool I think is what the material is called. Its like insulation but not as bad for you. Its dirt cheap to. I just nailed some 2x4's into a rectangle and placed the wool inside. Then I stapled bed sheets around it. Support beams are needed on the back. They work SO WELL. I could tell a difference in my guitar and vocal tracks instantly. No unwanted noise, smooth, and clear. Especially bass guitar! I leave them sitting on the wall when not recording with them just to make everything sound good. When I record with them I place them around an amp and then place sheets around it.
