Home Studio - Glasgow Tenement Flat

    Hi guys,

new to the forum and looking for a
    bit of advice.

I have recently moved into an old tenement flat in
glasgow, lovely rooms and building but for a studio I'm not convinced, the room
I plan using is approx. 5m x 4m and with a very high ceiling height approx.
3/3.2m high!! I have some acoustic treatment from my old flat however not a lot
as the last room i was using was like a box room!

    Here's a picture, only
difference now is there is carpet down and everything has been moved out the
    room.

Any advice in terms of acoustics etc from fellow
    producers/engineers would be appreciate

    Dave

as far as acoustics go coat the walls in any dense fabric and then on top of that you can put wat ever acoustic treatment you have left on top of that..... you do have a tall ceiling i would recommend a drop ceiling dont forget to coat the floor as well remember your trying to get as much sound absorption as possible hope this helped

Be sure to vote for bronxsta in the beat battle that's going on now (the link is in my sig) good lookin out
