You should able to pick up a suitable amp cheaper than that. I've got a similar set-up. I suggest you spend less on the amp and more on the monitors.

I'm afriad I'm not too familiar with HI-FI amp brand names. However, I picked up something which is working perfectly for £70 approx which I think is just over $100. It only has basic functions such as bass, treble and balance but I've found that the sound quality is good and the audiophile is flexible enough to compensate. I think you should spend more money on monitors if you can, to provide a more accurate resolution of the sound the audiphile is churning out. Again, I'm not very good with monitor brand names. Sorry I couldn't be any more help.

    Take it easy

umm i don`t know much but commmon sense tells me that you shouldn`t get an amp with any kind of equilizer...so that it doesn`t color the sound going to the monitors....the tannoy reveals seem nice...
