    ok...you're missing something important.

    firewire is measured in Mb/s (megabits)
    usb is measured in Mb/s
    ATA Drives are MB/s (megabytes)

    ...so...8 bits = 1 byte

    All of the numbers are theoretical (that peak for half a second).

    I think PCI is 133MB/s (for all PCI devices). Go ahead and do the math.
