emi 2|6 dropouts in SX when recording?

i just got an emagic emi 2|6 and am experiencing problems when recording into CubaseSX.

i have had no problems with playback however when recording i get dropouts.. i tried every latency and buffer size combination but could not get rid of that dropouts.


Please! if anyone has any suggestions, post them.! i must figure this out. or i will have to get a different card.

To clarify this is only a problem with cubase not the card itself.
i have tested and i get fine performance out of Ableton Live which also uses the ASIO drivers.

ok... so i was able to fix the problem by switching to 48khz mode.

but why would the device produce such crappy results in 44.1?
and why only in Cubase?
