condensor mics???

I am building my studio and am on a budget so i was curious as to if there is really a big difference in a five hundred dollar mic-thousand dollar mic besides the price{lol}.Thanks.

try a Blue Bird. Its about $250, best mic under 300.

Check ebay/craigslist. I purchased a used Roland NT1000 a couple years ago for about half of it's list price. Given the right recording environment and a good preamp I've gotten some good results out of it.
