And what I'm trying to say is that the internet isn't the home of hip-hop; it's a tool that we can take advantage of. You know, selling albums, submitting demos, exchanging music. But "learning" how to make hip-hop? That doesn't sit well with me. And if these people have anxiety and/or social disorders and are scared to get face to face, maybe they need to focus on something else.

****ed up people make some of the best musicians.,
producing is kinda thing you do on your own tho and not in a band and this could be intimidating for people.,and on this forum you can learn from people from all over the world lots of influences some good some bad.,i dunno i can kinda see what you mean about learning on the internet not being the best of ways, but it is a way and i dont hthink it should be dismissed.,

I'm not talking about producing... I'm talking about hip-hop... as an artform/culture/movement or whatever else people care to call it.

Hiphop has spread into many different things, infact you could say it has spread itself to thin, so much so that the the whole culture is lacking depth and Sincerity.

Everyone has a different perseption of how hiphop should be, if people are concerned about it then the least they can do is keep that part alive.

People have to learn how to make hipohop wheter domeone tells/guides them or they learn from what they see and hear.

Just do what you do if you like it, people shouldn't get so uptight about things beyond there control and if you still feel strongly do something constructive about it.

I agree with painoner and kenworthy on many points. Not all, but thats why its opinion. When possible I try to write some **** down on paper every day while listening to beats and once in a while I post something im proud of on here. If you feel like labelling people netcee's or whatever thats fine. The fact is when I read someone's post and they're negative in the first 2 or 3 sentences I just skip past it anyway. Its not even worth my time to dignify a flamewar. Anyone can create hiphop and quality comes at so many levels. Thing is there is no standard or certification of who is or isn't hiphop. The real proving ground is when you step up and try to get signed. Just because you can argue doesn't make you a lawyer and just because you can fix cars doesn't make you a mechanic.

One thing I don't understand about you Pain, not to attack you in any kind of way but it seems like you have alot of knowledge in making music and yet all you seems to say is... ''You suck'' or something along those lines... now I respect someone who has a brain and knows how to use it and it seems you do so why are you here if not to help? If things get to you so much, why post?? That I don't respect. Its a ' help the enviorment while I rev my leaded hummer' type of thing it seems.. isn't there another way you can contribute towards healing the state of hip hop other than griping about a site designed to help it?? Whilst beign a part of that site may I add.

Not posting to offend in anyway.

    Peace

What do you want me to say, that I'm an ******* or a hater or something? Because I'll say it.

I'm known for beign a critic myself, not exactly an optomist but why not help solve problems rather than help cause them.. you make music on a more professional level than most other cats on this site who wish to do the same as you so at least contribute rather than blast corny FruityLoops users. If they aint good enough they won't go anywhere so theres no need for the extreme useage of verbal ammo.

See, the fact of the matter is, most of these kids are "the problem" and not "the solution". Therefore, if I assisted them, I'd be part of the problem. I'd rather not waste my time on kids who can't think for themselves. If somebody approaches me, shows me something they've been working on, act honest and humble (not like "yo this **** is deep peep this i'm so raw"), and have some questions, I'll do my best to answer them. I would hope others would return the favor to me, and most people have. That's how we all learn. But a lot of it is internal. Nobody can't really stick ideas in your head, they can only aid your own learning process. See what I'm saying?

Personally I think the problem goes deeper than a few newbies... although I do see your point in the sence that many seem to aspire to the wrong image hoping to make it, contributing to said 'problem' by falling into sterotypes.
So your stratergy Pain is to up the caliber of your verbal ammo, cutting down the ones with the wrong attitude towards hip hop thus stemming the flow of 2 Pac wanna bes, Fruit Loop abusers and Eminem-alikes.... all by simply beign blunt with your remaks... Hey, if they can take the pain (as it were) it shows inner strength which is a good quality.....

I Applaude you sir.. if I got it right
