Often I'm just kind of hanging out at home not doing too much. Then I'll sit down with pen and paper and just write down as many titles as I can come up with. After that I'll choose my favorite one and start playing around with the title until I come up with a few lines. Keep grinding at it until I come up with a catchy chorus. With the verses I picture a story in my mind revolving around the theme of the title, coming up with characters and motives you know. Now the bridge or middle 8. That's where I kind of have an issue. It generally ends up just sounding like another verse only with a new melody or rhythm.

Just thought this might be a fun thread that might be inspirational to some:berzerk:
