chilled out man, i like it. Its mixed really well, but i would turn the hats down slightly. There's a bit of skip or something in the sampled sound at 1:34. Where did you take the sample from?

This definitely has potential, the sample is nice, but at times I also feel like its holding the song back, maybe if you switched it up a little bit with a brighter synth part or something it could bring back some life into it. On the positive side, the sounds are pretty nicely mixed minus a few level changes, and your sparing use of the high hat makes it really effective when the high hat actually kicks in. Cheers man and now make the next one!

Actually i really do feel what you mean, like in the verse, the beat almost seems skeletal? like it needs a little more meat added to it(a synth)

yo i feel this beat a lot, very chill man, i could imagine sleeping to this but the hi hats get kinda annoying tho, they take some of the chill away, kicks are fine, make the hats less fast and turn the volume down, it be perfect

Thanks guys, yeah i add high hats for an effect, just to kinda pick the song up so people arent sleepin to it, i was thinking about turning them down a little and maybe adding more reverb to make it sound smoother..

I really dig that sample. I agree that the hats are a bit annoying after a while, I say do em at a slower pace and lower. I also think the snare is a bit low maybe compared to the kick. You say that your a beginner so I gotta say good job. Just keep making beats and work on the mixing. I think some reverb or delay on the sample would be real nice...
