Hello all, this is my latest upload.
Seems to have been getting a good response so far but i forgot to post it up here.
Don't forget to drop links to threads so i can return the feedback.
- Mix is clean
- I think i would've experimented with a different snare sound -- not completely sold on the one you used
- Sample is dope
- I think i would've lowered the hi hats a little bit
- Vibe is dope
THANK YOU for flipping this Chrystal Waters sample besides just the style that T.I. used!! I've always wanted to create my own version of this classic, but haven't sat down to do it with all of the other ideas I have...you def did this joint justice and I love what you did with the vocal portion that now sounds like a guy singing. I gotta follow you after creating this joint right here fam.
Hey this is so hot! I can see why you have so many plays and likes. The only thing I would say is that I agree with some of these other guys about the vocal sample getting a little annoying. But if there was a rapper or singer on it you wouldn't even tell. I could be that rapper. Lol
Anyway check my sound!
Oh WORD. Flipping the sample that an ol' southern dude like me only remembers from T.I. (I know it's not HIS sample), but niiiiice. The snare could be mixed a little better and the bassline could improve a lil' bit (or I'm just not feeling the sound of the bass you're using). Nice beat overall though.
I like the way you flipped Gypsy Woman. I have to agree that the vocal does kinda get a little annoying after a while, but other than that this is on point. Mix is really clean, good job on this one.
