Let me know what you think. I'm still very new to the beat making game so I know absolutely nothing about mixing and mastering yet. Any feedback would be much appreciated and I will definitely give your song feedback if you have a link. Thank you for your time!

cool concept but it would've been real cool if when you have jay rapping and pausing after one bar or so. have him pause once or twice then he raps the verse with increased volume. but thats me. and lower the synths like make them deeper

Thank you for th advice! I really appreciate your honest opinion..I'll keep messing around with this piece to see what I can come up with...and feel free to drop some of your own material..I'll check it out!

vocal chops are coo..but a switch up in the drums would be niiice....kind of gets repetitive ..however i can dig the overall vibe and feel...good luck in your future productions

Hey man, this is solid for a new production! The song (the drums especially) are very repetitive, the string sample you have in there could be a bit louder. The piano sounded pretty good with the pad and other synths, good work on that. I feel like the synth you had at the end of each measure could have been turned down and use more sparingly as well. I couldn't really make out Jay-Z's vocals that much either. But for a beginner, this is is not bad at all. Keep workin.

The overall composition is chill, the sounds are chill. The mix isn't too crazy. Meaning the levels are not right. I think if it was a bit quicker, it would have a better vibe to it. But nice melodies.

Thank you all who have taken the time to listen to my first post! It really means a lot to me. I've taken notes on every suggestion mentioned and I plan to try out every suggestion (except mastering until I learn it) before re-releasing it. This whole process is still a bit foreign to me so bear with me as I play this game of catch up

This is really good work for a first post, has a kind of early Tyler The Creator feel about it. Technically it sounds fine, you've done a good job mixing it down if you haven't actually researched methods. Musically it's good too, the piano part around the 2 minute mark was really nice and the vocal samples add a cool spacey feel. I don't actually have any criticisms of this, keep up the good work man.

Return the feedback?

It's a cool concept, I think you could develop it even more, not bad considering you're new in the beat making game. my beats sure did not sound like this when I started out lol. you got some nice chords in there aswell, I would personally throw in a switchup in there to give it some variation. but other than that good job man

would apreciate if you would return the feedback: https://www.futureproducers.com/for...making-new-rap-hip-hop-beat-2-minutes-493642/

this is a nice chillin track. i like all the sounds that u used in this beat. they all compliment each other nicely. i like the subtle variations in the beat but i think some strings would be nice. i feel like the drums could be brought up a bit more and some more variation to the pattern would make it real nice. other than that, im digging this vibe, keep doing what your doing man!
