Classic sampled soul hip hop right here, very much a smooth 90's beat. Sample choice is nice, although I would like to hear something more than the same vocal sample repeated, something to mix it up, like a bridge or chorus. As you mention yourself some more percussion or something to mix up the loop would be refreshing. Aside from this the production is solid, as is the mixing. Not your strongest beat, as I recall from hearing some of your previous work, but still very much a sharp production. Keep grinding.
The sample on this is super nice. The intro kinda didn't match up to the rest with an odd transition though. I think if you add more drums it would create a much smoother sound. Some of this feels a little bit awkward.
