what do you think of this track? is it ok? the extra snare is added in b/c there was a drumroll in the original and the only way (that i know of) to get rid of it is to layer those other snares over it...Also, i know the mixing isn't that great. what can i do to improve it?

    thanks,

    Darrell

"If the the drums hit too hard it will take the mellowness vibe [out of] the whole track and make it stupid sounding. I know that may not make a lot of sense to today's producers aka fans with clout, but louder and harder isn't always the way to go." -Marol

I like the drums. But didn't really like the sample, try using sped up 70's soul samples instead. Drums are hot though, like the percussion.

The beats good. I dont really favor using sampels simpely because i dont.
If the main sample isnt being felt by people its hard to get people to pay attention to rest of the work you put into the beat.

Thanks for the feed back. Yes i did compose the whole track no samples

    hey,

I kind of like the sample. But the last bass progression seems a little off beat.

Mixing is ok, can be better.

I like it for what it is, a jazzy experimental beat. Keep it up some brass would do this track some serious justice...

it sounds like its just way too much going on ... i would just go for a different sample - it sounds a little off beat... keep at it tho playa
