thanks for the feedback more...yea its not everyone's thing..but change is cool tho..not sure i agree about the entire track being repetitive though,....but anyway, look at the biggest hip hop right now (ala "lean back" which i pointed out) and repetition is sadly the game..tho i dont think this track fits that..anyhow, the vocal makes the track...but thankx for the feedback and keep doin what u do..peace

aww man..."The Prophecy" sounds really awesome! The intro is very nice. I like that little synth noise that you have panning from ear to ear. Nice work. The only thing I really don't dig is that bubbly sound you put in there during transition, sounds out of place in my opinion, but its nothing serious. I could really picture this being used for some type of R&B record.

    "I Bet you":

I really like this one too. Nice drum work and nice melodies. Again, I'm really diggin the synths. I'm imagining another R&B joint. It just gets better as it progresses. Great Work!

Your composing is admirable. I look forward to hearing some more of your tracks in the future. Keep it up!

ps. don't worry about the "repetitiveness" thing, I understand that you've reserved some space for the vocals. If you try to change it up more, then people are gonna' start saying that you over-produced the track; so just do you.

    peace.

LOLOLOL...yeah i dont think highly of myself at all, but i been studying my ass off classically in music and would definitely get down on tracks, but being that i knew it was for hip hop..i leave that breathing room for the lyricist, vocalist, mc...like they aint gonna wanna spit or sing and have opera honey wailing all the time in the background...but yeah...thanks a bunch one80...best advice of the night...def lookin forward to postin more

Damn, your quality is real high, everything sounds clean. I like the prophecy beat the most, sounds gangsta. And I bet you is a tight beat too. What do you use to make your beats, it must be hardware cause your beats sound too clean to be made with a couple of vst's n fruity loops. Keep doing what your doing

thanks for the response...i use a lotta different stuff....Alesis QSR, Triton, an AKAI sampler to get high quality instrument sounds, Akai MPC2000, usually record with a Roland VS-880ex hard disk recorder.....the opera voice and choir are real tho...i wrote out the sheet music...had them sing various sections then mixed it in with protools...And as far as software studios, i think u should get into Reason 2.5...i dig it more than fruity loops...the lord of the rings arrangements were a doozy, but it paid off..got me a 95%..and landed me the internship at the studio ..thanks for the response and keep on doin what YOU doin too mayn..old school soul grooves are something i hope to try to get into..the bassline in prophecy is also done on top with an old school wurlitzer.

I see, im planning to start working with hardware too next month. The yamaha motif rack will be my first soundmodule, hope it will work right away without having to buy a new soundcard and lots of cables. Ive allways wanted to learn to work with protools,is it hard to work with? Fruity loops is a very ****ty program, the possibileties are very limited, i definately wanna step over to something else, maybe cubase or something. The bassline in prophecy sounds tight, it gives the track a smooth gangsta feeling.
