    Ill concept?

Well Im pretty much fed up like alot of people with rappers these days....it seems producers are so ill these days that ****ty rappers with horrible content and no originality can still be a part of a hit because of them. They seem to have to rely on hunting for a hot beat and real creative MC's get discouraged because they feel they must make club tracks to gain a fanbase.

I composed a real simple ass beat in 5 minutes and completed the song in less than 2 hours just to prove a point. Seems Im getting alot of love on it and I might just re-record it this time with care and try to make a hit.

I want to know if you agree with me or not on the concept.

    www.Trustbeats.com/DrumNClap.mp3

I took this track to some old school golden age lyrical flows

remember this isnt finished its a test song and concept....were doing a poll on CONCEPT OF SONG....the beat is supposed to suck if you listen to the lyrics

i dont really see what you are trying to convey in this "concept",

what i think you are trying to say is that you dont like the fact that rappers can blow up by having a hit single with a bangin beat and awful lyrics (EX: Mims)

i feel the same way to a point but we wouldnt have club bangers and music without those weak flows that you can rap along with while ur drunk at the bar, and girls like this **** alot more.....being a large targeted market for this type of music

so i kind of see where you are coming from but i didnt vote

Well the concept is quite simple .....real MC's wanna be heard and if you spittin real **** al you need is a drum and a clap to make a hit.....the beat is supposed to be irrelevant...because unless your trying to dance you want to hear something thats not the typical nonsense......I took the flow back to when I thought flows were the best and untainted by bull**** (the early 90's DasFx BlackSheep etc. erra)

Remember back when MC's commanded on tracks and club music was called "Dance" ....theres no such thing as "dance" anymore because producers evolved. I just wished the MC followed...all we have now is "rappers"

HipHop was separate from dance back in the day....whats ruined hiphop is the fact that this senseless dance music is called hiphop when it should have another label.

personally i don't listen 2 the music now a dayz..but ure concept still doesn't work because regardless of wat flow u use..therez actually a science to it..& thatz simplicity...itz no secret that people don't listen 2 lyricz..thatz alwayz been the issue with hip hop...and as an MC myself..itz eitha dumb it down or keep it potent..thatz ure call 2 make..but ideaz like this don't fend well because that kinda hip hop is equally as wack the other ****...itz like goin 2 a pool part with a suit...doesn't make sense and u can't expect the rest of the world 2 party to canibus..every rapper fitz a niche..so like it or not..itz still as relevant as everything else...

I dont know why you say people not listening to lyrics has always been an issue in Hip Hop especially with a name like NYConcepts. NY was the birth of MC's and people listened to MC's because they were so creative with wordplay and flows. The north east has always been lyrical ....there were no monster beatmakers in the north east during Hip Hops golden age...the closest was RZA but he had the illest group of MC's ever so it really didnt matter how ill he was. It wasnt party music so people listened to them.

Right now in Hip Hop you know for a fact the biggest money makers are rapping about bull**** and dont really have much skill...production and marketing is making the money. In an age of Laffy Taffy,Lip gloss,Chicken noodle soup are you seriously telling me that this concept isnt a better one for HipHop.

I know my **** would never be a smash hit because people are programmed but its refreshing and different....its about the concept...il be damned if my **** means less in the true essence of hiphop than the majority of **** out now.

I make all types of beats... mostly beats that dont even have an official classification.....Hip Hop sales have declined the past 2 years...the people are speaking...their saying Hip Hop is dead...HipHop is in this state because of rappers but moreso the producers who allow this crap on their tracks. Money is the motivator and will be the destruction of the artform.

how many times have you seen someone say HipHop is dead on this site? Ive only been here 2 days and I see it like crazy. WE KNOW ALREADY....MY **** IS DIFFERENT...AND JUST BEING DIFFERENT IS ENOUGH OF A CONCEPT LET ALONE I DECIDED TO DO A LIL OLD SCHOOL **** ON THE TRACK

Like I said....My **** is unique in a market flooded with guns, hoes, rims, ganstas, laffytaffy, lip gloss,BayBays,money...how many rappers you know just flippin their flows and trynna show how ill they are without relying on a crazy dirtysouth bassy club beat.

    THATS MY CONCEPT

Hey I respect your opinion...I aint mad atcha......its not that serious but on some real ****.....Im very into Hip Hop and the music I do which will later be defined.....sometimes I get emotional with this **** because the game presently really upsets me. Im in this for the art...not to get rich.

i see where u goin with it, but its been done already... and honestly, this just sounds like an incomplete beat... yea i know thats what u said... but, a drum and a clap should be just that... no synth sounds... make the beat better, and ur flow gotta be tighter... no disrespect fam... check my vid "what r u fitin 4" some people dont like the beat, but they love the lyrics... umm... that was half my intention... to make u LISTEN!!!

hahaha...u right but im talkin Super Producer.....I think RZA was the first super producer who started in HipHop....he went on to do movie scores and ****....very much the same direction I think Im going because of my sound

Once again though...the concept of this song is supposed to be hot amongst the **** thats out. yeh so what a few "MC's" did something similiar...there are tons of rappers who need to adopt this concept right now

You say its been done before but you and I are lovers of real HipHop we know this.....97% of current hip hop fans dont know and this concept needs to be put in their ear.....so now...is it a good concept?
